I have been a reader of SiteProNews for quite some time and by following your advice and tips have placed many of my websites on the First Page of Google Thanks to your news letter.

Matter of Fact, I have ONE website that is #1 or #2 on Google in over 200 Google Listings with various Keywords I use. This was accomplished by using your advice and tips from your newsletter I receive.

I read your piece with interest and it reminded me of "The Rule of Twenty" I stumbled upon a year or so ago. Hope they will amuse:

1. Avoid cliches like the plague.
2. Verbs has to agree with their subjects.
3. Prepositions are not words to end sentences with.
4. And never start a sentence with a conjunction.
5. It is wrong to boldly split an infinitive.
6. Parenthetical remarks (however relevant) are (always) unnecessary.
7. Also, too, never, ever, use repetitive redundancies.
8. Contractions aren't necessary and shouldn't be used.
9. Foreign words and phrases are apropos to what?
10. One should never generalise.
11. Analogies are like falling off a log.
12. The passive voice is unheard of.
13. Eliminate commas, that are, quite frankly, unnecessary.
14. Never use a grandiloquent word when a diminutive one will suffice.
15. Use phrases correctly, irregardless of how others misuse them.
16. Simplicity is always better than circumlocution.
17. Resist hyperbole: exaggeration is a million times worse than subtlety.
18. Abstract words and phrases tend to obnubilate true meaning.
19. Who needs rhetorical questions?
20. Proofread carefully and check if any words out.
