Smartphones have changed the way we market forever. The reasons for this are obvious: You need to be where your customers are. Your customer used to hang out on social media sites on his PC. Not anymore. Now there are four mobile phones to every PC. This speaks for itself.
The quickest, fastest, most efficient way to reach your target market throughout the day is through mobile marketing because recipients get your message in real time. According to statistics, it takes 90 seconds for someone to respond to a text message. It takes a whole 90 minutes on average for someone to respond by e-mail. Nintey-one percent of mobile users have their phone within reach 24/7.
Here are some more statistics:
*More people are texting than phoning or e-mailing.
*A mobile coupon is 10 times more likely to be redeemed than a normal coupon. Its redeem rate is between 10 and 44 percent. Compare that to printed coupons that have a response rate of two percent.
*Forty-four percent of social media users use their Smartphone to login and be active on Facebook and Twitter.
*Seventy percent of all mobile searches result in some form of action within one hour. (It takes a month to take action online.)
*Nine out of 10 searches on mobile end in a form of action with more than half of those resulting in a purchase.
*Sixty-one percent of local searches done on a mobile phone result in the searcher contacting the business.
*Seventy-one percent of mobile users do a search on their mobile because they saw an advertisement on their phone.
The cost of mobile mMarketing is much lower compared to other media. Your cost is less than the cost of a text; about five cents per text.
You have direct access to your customer who wants to hear from you, and you can target messages to him directly, making it a personal and engaging experience for him. This will make your customer loyal to you and your brand.
These are all the reasons why mobile marketing is growing quickly and will continue to do so. Mobile marketing is projected to double over the next year and every year for the next five years.
In the coming years, more people will use their Smartphones to browse the Internet than any other way. This is why you need to start advertising your business where the customers are — on their mobile phones.
Successful marketers get in at the beginning of a trend and aren’t scared to test new ways of finding and engaging customers. You owe it to your business and your bank account to get started as soon as possible.
