Evernote Signs Deal With Telefonica to Continue Expansion Efforts

Evernote has signed a deal with Telefonica Digital to bring its productivity app to tens of millions of the Brazilian telecommunications firm’s mobile customers.

Evernote is kicking off its partnership with Telefonica by offering the firm’s 80 million subscribers in Brazil an entire year of Evernote Premium for free.

“Our plan is to expand this relationship to reach the hundreds of millions of Telefonica mobile customers throughout Latin America and Europe,” Evernote said in a post on its blog, referencing the firm’s 247 million customers.

“Telefonica is our first major carrier alliance covering emerging countries across Latin America. They join Evernote’s other carrier partners including Deutsche Telekom, NTT Docomo in Japan, Taiwan Mobile and others.”

Once the user has signed in to Evernote, his or her account will be upgraded with a number of features such as a 1GB monthly upload limit, the ability to access notes and notebooks offline, increased security, additional sharing options and quicker customer support.
