Screen Will Be Larger Than 18 Inches

Size matters, sure, but there comes a point where things might just be too big.

In the case of tablets, where does one draw the line and determine a screen is too large and the device unwieldy? There’s a good chance the magic number is 18.4 inches, but that, reportedly, is exactly how big Samsung’s latest tablet will be when it lands (with a thud) on the market.

Reports began circulating late last week the South Korean company is preparing for its largest tablet yet. While there’s been nothing official released by Samsung as of yet the rumor is spreading quickly with Sammobile reporting the device will operate on Android 5.1 Lollipop and feature an impressive 1920 x 1080p LCD screen.

The project is, CNet reports, operating under the name Tahoe but there’s no word on if this is what the tablet may actually be called once it arrives. That information, too, isn’t known as one can only speculate on when the giant tablet will become available.

As large as the device could be, PC Mag noted, it won’t necessarily be breaking new ground.

Some may remember the big, 20-inch tablet geared toward kids that was released by Japan-based Fuhu last year.

Regardless, if the reports are true, Samsung would be releasing the biggest mainstream tablet on the market.
