Facebook Testing Customized Frames for Photos, Video

Facebook continues its quest to best Snapchat with the introduction of another Snapchat-like service.

The social media giant is currently testing Camera Effects, a tool that gives users the ability to make photo frames for photos and videos. Available to a small group of testers, Camera Effects enables them to add frames when creating a profile picture or video as well as in the camera on Facebook.

Here’s how it works:

“Location and general frames are public,” Facebook said on the service’s webpage. “Friends or people who like your Page are more likely to see your frame on Facebook. The owner’s name and profile picture may appear next to the frame.”

To design a frame, make a separate PNG with a transparent background for each element of your frame. All frames must be completely original. They should also be simple and never dominate a photo.

I just downloaded the template, let’s see what comes out. It seems really interesting and fun thing.
