Facebook is launching a button that enables users to ‘unfollow’ members of the social network.
Essentially, the social media site will use the functionality of its ‘hide all’ button — which permits users to hide posts from friends without actually unfriending them — in its news unfollow tool, TechCrunch is reporting.
“The goal of this change is to help people curate their news feed and see more of the content that they care about,” a Facebook spokesperson told the publication.
According to the report, it is likely Facebook is trying to bring its language in line with what is used on Instagram and Twitter.
