Microsoft Offers OneDrive Customers Unlimited Storage

Microsoft is upping its game in the storage war.

The software giant has announced it will now offer unlimited cloud storage to Office 365 subscribers at no additional cost.

The change is in the process of being implemented for Office 365 Home, Personal and University customers and will continue to roll out over the coming months.

“While unlimited storage is another important milestone for OneDrive we believe the true value of cloud storage is only realized when it is tightly integrated with the tools people use to communicate, create, and collaborate, both personally and professionally,” reads a Microsoft blog post by OneDrive & SharePoint corporate vice-president Chris Jones.

“That is why unlimited storage is just one small part of our broader promise to deliver a single experience across work and life that helps people store, sync, share, and collaborate on all the files that are important to them, all while meeting the security and compliance needs of even the most stringent organizations.”

Those who are anxious to get the extra storage can click here to be put at the front of the line.

Users can also take advantage of the “massive capacity” they already have by activating the auto upload feature for their phone’s camera roll.

OneDrive for Business customers will find the unlimited storage listed on the Office 365 roadmap in the “coming days.” First Release customers will be updated beginning early next year.
