LinkedIn has launched a new tool so its members can add professional certifications to their profile in one-click.
Dubbed Add to Profile for Certifications, the new feature is available to all certification providers globally via a self-serve platform.
Having a certification added to one’s profile is an easy way for members to showcase their areas of expertise. According to the professional network’s stats, LinkedIn members with certifications receive six times more views to their profile.
“It’s more important than ever to make sure you stand out professionally in today’s workforce, and our data suggests that adding certifications to your profile helps you attract opportunity,” reads a LinkedIn blog post. “With Add to Profile, professionals will get recognized and discovered based on the certifications that they’ve earned and knowledge gained.”
As part of the launch, LinkedIn has also debuted a List of the Top 100 Certification Providers on LinkedIn, based on the number of certifications on LinkedIn profiles.
Microsoft and Coursera top the list, while Aspiring Minds jumped 84 places on the top 100 list over the last month. Microsoft, Coursera, and Aspiring Minds are all early adopters of Add to Profile, and are accompanied by a wide range of companies like EF Education First, HubSpot, and lynda.com. Any certification provider can see where they stack up on the Top 100 Certification Providers list, which also shows the leading certifications for top occupations like Software Developers and Business Owners.
