Instagram Launches New Filters, Emojis

Instagram has debuted three new filters, just in time for springtime images.

The three new filters, dubbed Lark, Reyes, and Juno, were all “inspired by weekend adventures outdoors.”

Lark desaturates reds and enhances blues and greens to bring landscapes to life while Reyes supplies a dusty, vintage look. Juno tints cool tones green, makes warm tones more vibrant and whites brighter.

The Instagram update now enables users to include emoji as hashtags.

“Over the past few years, emoji have become part of a universal visual language,” The Facebook owned company said in a blog-post. “And just as we share photos and videos, we use emoji to communicate emotions and feelings in ways that anyone can understand, regardless of language or background. With emoji hashtags, you can discover even more by adding them to your own photos and videos, searching them on the Explore page and tapping on them when you see them in captions.”

The updated app is available in The App Store for iOS users and Google Play for Android.
