G4 Will be Available in North America This Summer
LG appears to be bringing style back to Smartphones.
The company unveiled its latest device Tuesday as the LG G4 on the eve of its availability in Korea with more markets to be added on in the coming weeks. The Android Smartphone comes with no lack of features including an impressive design that includes a full grain leather back. It’s a simple touch that makes the device not only appealing to the eye but adds a touch of class.
But, beyond the exterior, LG has brought a rare F 1.8 aperature lens allowing 80 percent more light meaning better quality and crisper pictures. Those pictures look better, too, because of the new IPS Quantum Display.
“We are living up to our promise of Innovation for a Better Life with a fashionable, premium smartphone that is more focused on delivering a balanced user experience that can compete with the best of the best,” Juno Cho, president and CEO of the LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company, stated in a company release. “We wanted to give consumers a truly human-centric device that combined the analog sensibilities with technologies that delivered real world performance. From the design to the camera to the display to the UX, this is the most ambitious phone we’ve ever created.”
The G4 includes 32 GB of storage which can be broadened to 128 GB with its microSD slot. The phone can be charged wirelessly and runs the Snapdragon 808 processor.
Qualcomm International, the company behind the processor, had its executive chairman attend the unveiling in Seoul.
Dr. Paul E. Jacobs said the companies’ collaboration means customers will get the best possible experience.
“The resulting G4 Smartphone is an ideal example of how the best optimized technologies come together to meet consumers’ needs.”
