Software Demonstration Has Some People Up in Arms, Accusing Apple of Sexism
Apple has caused outrage after it tried to force a woman to smile.
It’s not as bad as it sounds — during Apple’s live press event Wednesday, the company demonstrated it had the technology to change a photo of a pouting person into a photo of a smiling person.
Unfortunately, Apple’s choice of photo — a picture of a beautiful woman — has some people up in arms.
The sentiment? How dare a man tell a woman she should smile. Sounds ridiculous, right? But Twitter was filled with outraged tweets about Apple’s supposedly sexist behavior. And it didn’t help that Apple’s main stage was mainly populated by men or that a man was the one doing the software demonstration that altered the woman’s expression.

Maybe if some of the outrage over a rather insignificant occurrence (in the grand scheme of things) was channeled to issues that really mattered society would have fewer real problems to deal with.
