New App Brings Pictures to Life

iPhone users looking to make their images a little more ‘lively’ may want to download a new app.

LivelyFeatureLive photos from iPhone 6S and 6S Plus can, through the recently released app, be easily converted into GIFs and/or videos. Once converted, the app also makes it simple to share the GIFs and videos with friends.

Aptly entitled Lively, the app isn’t the first to take advantage of the new iPhones’ Live Photos feature. The feature is, for the most part, fairly useless without the ability to share the images and this new app addresses that problem.

As explained by Tech Crunch, Live Photos is an exclusive feature on the most recent models of iPhones. What happens is before a user actually takes a photo the iPhone a few seconds of live video is captured. A few more seconds are taken after the still is captured. This means, when Live Photos is switched on, the camera is recording a wee bit of video.

“Lively enables you to make GIF and Movie from Live Photos at ease. You can now share your Live Photos with your friends on iMessage, Facebook Messenger, Whatsapp and many more. Oh, Lively comes with full support for 3D Touch too,” the app’s brief description states at the App Store.

The app is a free download that allows three free exports and unlimited previews. However, users looking for unlimited exports will have to pay a $2 in-app purchase.
