Samsung may not be talking about its new smartphones just yet, but that’s not stopping everyone else from doing so.
The Electronic Times out of South Korea quoted sources earlier this week noting the Galaxy S7 smartphones will be landing in February and will come in different sizes. The reports indicate Samsung’s planning a 5.2-inch flat-screen version, and a 5.5-inch, curved-screen version that will be called the ‘Galaxy S7 edge’.
The company must be expecting a positive response, too, as The Daily Mail reported Samsung will carry out an initial production run of five million of the devices.
The news comes at the same time as information leaked from China Mobile confirming the street date and even pricing of the models. The figures which had been included in a slideshow presentation there show the new devices will likely come with a $460 asking price in the United States.
Samsung has made no official comments in light of the leaked information but has been teasing consumers about the latest device for months.
Forbes noted if the information reported this week is accurate it eliminates initial rumors of a Galaxy S7 model which would be six inches in size.
