The image-sharing app will soon automatically translate the comments, captions and user bios on its network.
“In the coming month, you’ll see a translation button on feed stories and profile bios written in languages different from your own,” the company said in a blog post. “The Instagram community has grown faster and become more global than we ever imagined. And we’re excited that you’ll soon be able to understand the full story of a moment, no matter what language you speak.”

News of the update comes the same week the Facebook-owned company announced it has reached the 500-million user mark.
The firm has seen a lot of change this year with a major makeover of its app and a new logo to boot.
