Twitter Moments, a tool that puts the spotlight on popular tweets, is now available to all users.
“For everyone who wants to make a Moment – starting today you can! Creators everywhere can now tell stories with tweets,” Twitter said in a Wednesday tweet.
Twitter, in a blog post last year when Moments launched for U.S. users, had this to say about the tool: “We know finding … only-on-Twitter moments can be a challenge, especially if you haven’t followed certain accounts. But it doesn’t have to be. Moments helps you find the best of Twitter as easily as tapping an icon – regardless of who you follow.”
To get started, tap on the new lightning bolt tab on your Smartphone. This will open a list of the top Moments unfolding on Twitter. You can also swipe through other topics such as entertainment and sports. A blue dot will appear in the upper right-hand corner of images associated with Moments you clicked on once they have been updated.
Moments, which is available to users across Android, iPhone, and the desktop Web, first rolled out in the U.S. last October and in the U.K. last December.
