I am a woman with an online business (part of a family business). Inspired to get in to the sector through an ex-boyfriend who was fascinated by the web and by a mother who was in to the web when really hardly anyone was.
There need to be more female role models to inspire others in to the area.
I have been in IT for about 18 years and often find myself the only female in the room! I have been lucky enough to have a few great men not only believe in me but hire me, mentor me and push me to the next level. Now I pay it forward to young women.
